Using IoT for smart tracking

The internet of things (IoT) is becoming a mainstream technology in leveraging machine-to-machine (M2M) manufacturing for anytime, anywhere and any type of asset tracking.

According to TE Connectivity, smart tracking technology needs always-on connectivity for insights on asset locations, temperature, functionality or other metrics in order to track what is being sent reliably anywhere in the world.

Additionally, long-lasting, future-proof connectivity is needed for tracked devices to operate in the field for years including long-lasting battery life. Remote updates are also needed to address large fleets in diverse locations so devices can work optimally and send data as expected.
