A new horticulture lighting emitting diode (LED) series has been launched by Agnetix that includes a built-in sensor and imaging technologies.
Agnetix said this is the first industrial horticulture lighting series to directly integrate plant health sensors and canopy imaging cameras with the Agnetix water-cooled system. Called Zenith, the LED lighting includes an infrared remote leaf temperature sensor for temperature, humidity and vapor pressure deficit (VPD) data.
Additionally, reflected canopy light intensity and color sensors allow for precision lighting adjustments and a canopy distance growth sensor tracks progress and growth rates of plants. The green LED inspection light illuminates the grow room for night inspections and an imaging camera captures closeup plant images to detect pests or imperfections. Finally, a multi-wavelength LED flash and illuminator with ultraviolet and infrared inspection capabilities gives grow ops a way to check crops.
Agnetix said it has also launched Harmony, an all-in-one environmental sensor that connects to Zenith for canopy-level measurement of air temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide. Plant and environmental information captured from Zenith and Harmony intersect on the Agnetix HMI dashboard for manual and automated analysis.
