New broadband gain blocks with low-loss bypass

New GRF2042 and GRF2043 broadband gain blocks with low-loss bypass offer a range of flat-gain, high-linearity options to support applications from 100 MHz to 6 GHz. These gain blocks are part of Guerrilla RF’s expanding portfolio of more than 30 DFN-6 1.5 mm x 1.5 mm devices. Flexible biasing allows for the optimization of power consumption to best suit specific application requirements.

Sampling now, these new devices are essentially bypass versions of the previously released GRF2012 and Source: Guerrilla RFSource: Guerrilla RFGRF2013 series. When in gain mode, the GRF2042 and GRF2043 provide comparable gain levels of 15 dB and 18.5 dB, respectively. The low-loss, linear bypass modes yield gains of -2 dB in both cases, allowing for gain steps of 17 dB for the GRF2042 and 20.5 dB for the GRF2043.

In addition to outstanding gain flatness and linearity, the gain blocks offer robust linearity performance with wide-bandwidth, high peak-to-average ratio signals. The devices deliver flexible biasing over a wide range of output stage drain power voltage levels and quiescent supply current settings, and excellent excellent performance characteristics over temperatures from - 40° C to 105° C.
