5G and internet of things (IoT) analytics-based roaming, network security and testing vendor Mobileum has acquired Sigos, a provider of end-to-end domestic and roaming testing solutions.
Sigos’ portfolio includes roaming and interconnection test systems in the cloud including active testing. Sigos also provides mobile operators with anti-fraud and revenue assurance managed service solutions.
The combination of companies will provide mobile operators and enterprises products and competencies needed as they roll out 5G infrastructure and expand IoT services, Mobileum said. The companies will create a framework for evolving networks and adopting new technologies and business models.
The acquisition of Sigos is the third acquisition Mobileum has made to expand its IoT and 5G portfolio following the purchase of WeDo Technologies in August of last year and Evolved Intelligence in October of 2018.
The combination of companies will now include 1,800 employees across more than 30 global locations that serve more than 750 telecom operators worldwide.
