Bell Canada to use Ericsson for 5G expansion

03 June 2020

Ericsson has been chosen by Bell Canada to expand its 5G coverage, including an anticipated boost following the auction 3.5 GHz spectrum by the Canadian government later in 2020.

The deal continues the partnership between the companies that previously included a 4G LTE network provision. As part of the new deal, Ericsson’s radio system products and solutions will be used to expand coverage.

Ericsson has 93 commercial 5G agreements and contracts and has 40 live 5G networks in 22 countries; this includes deals with China Mobile, Oppo, Swisscom and more.
