Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has closed it operations due to the outbreak of COVID-19, but the company has already set a date to return to work if things improve.
FCA plants across the U.S. and Canada will remain closed until April 14, depending upon the various states’ shelter-in-place orders and the readiness of each facility to return to production.
FCA’s Mopar Parts Distribution Centers, which have been deemed essential to keeping first responders on the road, will continue to operate with paid volunteers.
The company said it will work with the United Auto Workers and Unifor to expand on its cleaning and social distancing protocols and continues to monitor the situation moving forward.
