Automotive tire giant Bridgestone is making its first appearance at CES 2020, the largest tradeshow in the world, showcasing its airless and connected tires for next-generation e-bikes and vehicles.
Bridestone will showcase its air-free tires, with intended for personal mobility applications and commercial fleets. The tires combine a tire’s tread and wheel into one structure, eliminating the need for air and erasing the dangers and downtime of flat tires. Additionally, the company will show its airless, elastic tire and wheel solution for rover spacecraft that is under development for future space missions.
Meanwhile, Bridgestone will also demonstrate its smart tire technology that include sensors and simulation capabilities. Using next-generation digital twin, the smart tire tech generates specific, actionable predictions that can enhance the safety systems of vehicles.
Finally, the tire giant will showcase its Webfleet Solutions platform for data and analytics to move millions of vehicles. A simulation of the platform in motion will be showcased as an example of how telematics power a connected vehicle ecosystem for improving safety and costs.
CES 2020 will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 7-10.
