Symmetry Electronics to Distribute InvenSense MEMS Devices

07 August 2018

Symmetry Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) vendor InvenSense, a TDK Group company.

Under the agreement, Symmetry will sell all InvenSense products to customers worldwide including its sensor technologies used in motion tracking, optical image stabilization, location tracking and audio microphones. These devices are used in products found in consumer, industrial, automotive and the Internet of Things.

Symmetry said it specializes in wireless, IoT and video technologies. The company, in addition to distributing MEMS products, will provide support through its internal engineers looking for assistance on designing electronic devices.

Symmetry said the growth in IoT means the need for low power MEMS sensors is growing and demand is being seen through customers need for these devices.
