Maxim Integrated has announced new low-cost motors/sequencers with reverse sequencing capabilities. The MAX16050 and MAX16051 are designed to ensure projects will power up and down according to design specifications.

The devices can monitor up to six voltages and sequence up to five voltages and provide an adjustable delay as each power supply is turned on while monitoring each supply voltage, including the bias voltage Vcc. During power-down, they can reverse sequence the output and provide internal pulldown circuitry to help discharge output capacitors.
Typical applications for the MAX16050/MAX16051 include servers, telecom equipment, workstations and network and storage systems.
