Avnet’s Artificial Intelligence Agent Now Available in Americas

Avnet Inc. has made available its “Ask Avnet” artificial intelligence and human expertise platform to customers in the Americas.

The platform uses both AI and knowledge from experts for a new type of distribution so that customers ranging from professionals to makers can find the right parts from Avnet, and element14.

The platform uses a range of tools and services including an intelligent agent, customer service, technical support and Engineer on Demand service to give a single point of entry for basic inquiries regarding product search and order status. It also connects makers to the communities of and element14.

If a question is too complex, the system connects the person with the appropriate support channel. The AI learns to improve the user experience as more questions are asked to the platform.

Ask Avnet testing began in July and the customer interactions with the platform have led to greater intelligence in the system enabling it to better anticipate customer needs to improve the overall user experience, Avnet says.

Avnet plans to roll out the platform to other regions and include other Avnet communities in the coming months.
