The new 2018 Honda Odyssey is the first minivan to offer 4G LTE in-vehicle Wi-Fi to support streaming video, music and more. The 2018 Odyssey Elite and Touring trims offer prepaid and postpaid unlimited data plans from AT&T starting at $20 a month.
2018 Honda Odyssey: First Minivan with 4G LTE In-Vehicle Wi-Fi Offering Customers Unlimited Data from AT&T (Honda)
The AT&T data plans allow passengers to stream video content on a 10.2-inch ceiling-mounted Rear Entertainment System with DVD, CD and Blu-Ray™ capabilities. The in-vehicle 4G LTE with data capability allows for internet radio, web browsing and more. These features are possible for up to 7 devices at one time.
The prepaid plan provides access to the AT&T wireless data services for 30 days and renews at the end of that period. It can be canceled at any time. The postpaid plan offers monthly charges similar to a postpaid cell phone plan. After 22 GB of data usage in a billing cycle, the data may be low for the remainder of the cycle during periods of network congestions. Both the Odyssey Touring and Elite models include a 3-month or 3 GB, whichever comes first, complementary plan. The customer-paid subscription plan follows when the free trial has ended.
Honda is the most recent automaker to offer these data plans for in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots. For more information about this new vehicle, visit the Honda site here.
