06 June 2016

TE Connectivity Ltd. (TE) has acquired Jaquet Technology Group, a global leader based in Switzerland that designs and manufactures innovative speed sensors for the auto, rail and power markets. With Jaquet, TE extends its global platform of engineering and manufacturing expertise for sensor technology.

“We are pleased to welcome Jaquet Technology Group, as we strategically expand our speed sensors technology for turbochargers and our automotive and industrial and commercial transportation portfolio,” said John Mitchell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Sensor Solutions, TE Connectivity, in a statement. “This acquisition allows us to accelerate the company’s position in the market and our journey in becoming the premier partner of choice for sensor technology worldwide.”

“Becoming a strategic part of TE’s sensor division is a natural fit for Jaquet and will contribute to the expansion of our innovative sensor portfolio,” said Jaquet CEO Markus Eigenmann, in a statement. “This move will help strengthen TE’s presence in Switzerland and further expand Jaquet’s go-to-market sales growth, positioning the company as the leader within the sensors market.”
