Just a few short months after the initial announcement, Diodes Inc. has completed its acquisition of mixed-signal and analog IC chipmaker Pericom Semiconductor.
Originally announced in early September, the deal is valued at $413 million including the value of Pericom equity awards paid out or converted to Didoes equity awards. At that time, Diodes claimed the acquisition was part of the company’s plan to become a $1 billion company and expanding its analog line and adding mixed-signal connectivity to its application specific standard products (ASSPs) portfolio.
Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, president and CEO of Diodes, says that in addition to analog and mixed signal, Pericom’s extensive timing products will compliment Diodes own portfolio in these products.
