Anritsu Co. introduced a CPRI RF Measurement option for its BTS Master handheld base station analyzer family that it says reduces the operational expense of troubleshooting interference at base stations. The company says the unit includes sweep speed and test capabilities. It says the BTS Master-based CPRI RF measurement test set allows for RF measurements on Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) while remaining at ground level. It claims this eliminates the expense and time associated with calling a tower crew to conduct interference measurements.
The BTS Master conducts the measurements over the fiber optic CPRI link that connects the baseband unit and the RRH. Preconfigured radio setups and an auto detect function to simplify configuration, the company says.
A sweep speed that the company says is 10x faster than other solutions allows the BTS Master-based CPRI RF measurement test set to capture burst signals. In addition, the unit offers the ability to tune and pan on a displayed signal, and to zoom into a particular area of interest.
The CPRI RF option expands the measurement capability of the BTS Master family, the company says. The handheld base station analyzers have been developed to support 2G/3G and4G wireless networks, and feature more ethan 30 analyzers in one instrument to meet many measurement needs.
