Understanding the Forthcoming Changes in Mobile Memory

Cliff Leimbach, IHS Technology analyst for memory and storage, talks about market trends and innovation in mobile memory. He discusses the saturation of the smartphone market, the balancing of BOM cost vs innovation, and its effects upon growth in both revenue and volume in for mobile memory providers. He also discusses the evolution of semiconductor process innovation and its effect upon mobile memory design, most notably the anticipation of 3D NAND devices.

Cliff Leimbach, analyst for memory and storage , is responsible for providing research, analysis, and forecasting of DRAM and Flash memory from the demand side. His duties also include analyzing the DRAM upgrade module.
