New intrinsically safe integral cable accelerometers

21 May 2026

The new 786F-IM-IS and 787F-IM-IS Intrinsically Safe (IS) IEPE accelerometers from Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies combine proven vibration performance with a next-generation injection molded integral cable design. Engineered as a rugged hazardous area vibration monitoring sensor, each model is certified for use in Class I Division 1 and ATEX Zone 0/1 hazardous environments.

By over-molding the integral cable directly to the hermetically sealed sensor body, this advanced manufacturing process reduces price, shortens lead times and eliminates mechanical transition points that can introduce failure in demanding installations. The result is a durable, reliable IS vibration sensor optimized for long-term hazardous area vibration monitoring.

Certified to the CSA, ATEX and IECEx standards, these sensors provide global compliance for IS installations across oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing and other hazardous manufacturing environments.
