AMETEK Programmable Power announces exclusive distribution and calibration partnership with Transcat

10 February 2026

AMETEK Programmable Power has appointed Transcat, Inc. as its exclusive distributor, certified calibration partner and rental provider for its programmable power and test systems portfolio throughout the U.S. and South America. This strategic alignment enhances product availability, accelerates delivery and expands integrated service support for customers in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, industrial, data center and renewable energy markets.

Under the agreement, Transcat will distribute AMETEK Programmable Power’s precision AC/DC power supplies, electronic loads, power subsystems and compliance test solutions — sold under the Sorensen, Elgar and California Instruments brands — and will also support the modular instrumentation and data acquisition systems offered through VTI Instruments. In addition to AMETEK Programmable Power’s existing calibration services, Transcat will now serve as the exclusive calibration partner, giving customers a high‑quality option backed by a long track record of superior service and short lead times.

“We are very excited to serve as the exclusive distribution, calibration and rental partner for AMETEK Programmable Power, the market leader in programmable power systems, to drive organic service and distribution growth in key strategic customer segments,” said Michael West, Transcat COO. “By aligning our distribution business with our calibration and rental capabilities, we are creating a seamless customer experience that accelerates value across the entire equipment lifecycle benefiting both of Transcat’s operating segments.”

This partnership also supports Transcat’s broader strategy to leverage its distribution business as a catalyst for calibration service and rental growth, enabling customers operating in complex, highly regulated environments to source, deploy and maintain precision power systems more efficiently than ever.
