Ceva Inc. and Microchip Technology Inc. have formed a long-term partnership to embed Ceva’s NeuPro neural processing units into Microchip’s devices.
The goal will be to accelerate the deployment of scalable AI across a range of compute, communications and security products.
The NeuPro portfolio runs the gamut of NPUs for small embedded applications to those chips that require generative AI.
Combined with Ceva’s NeuPro Studio, which is a unified AI software development kit, Microchip gains a platform for users to train, import, optimize and deploy AI models, the companies said.
“AI is becoming foundational across devices, systems and infrastructure,” said Amir Panush, CEO of Ceva. “Our partnership with Microchip reflects this industry-wide shift. By providing scalable NPU technology together with NeuPro Studio, we enable Microchip to extend its leadership and deliver AI-driven innovation directly to their customers.”
