08 August 2025

Interconnect solutions developer Amphenol Industrial Operations has unveiled its new GuardXcel Series, a complete line of industrial-grade cable glands, vents and accessories engineered to deliver secure, long-lasting protection for cables, enclosures and connectors across harsh environments.

Designed with ease of installation and broad compatibility in mind, the GuardXcel Series offers:

  • Secure cable retention and strain relief to prevent loosening or disconnection
  • System longevity through ingress protection and environmental sealing
  • Flexible configuration with “click-and-pick” selection tools for quick specification
  • Certified performance, including UL, IP-rated, ultraviolet (UV) and electromagnetic compatibility

The product range includes cable glands, adapters, drain plugs, dome plugs, multi-hole seals, gaskets,Source: Amphenol Industrial OperationsSource: Amphenol Industrial Operations washers and ventilation plugs — available in plastic, stainless steel or nickel-plated brass, with sealing materials such as neoprene, silicone and nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).

GuardXcel cable glands are compatible with non-armored, armored and shielded cables, offering temperature resilience from -20° C to 100° C and thread options to suit global standards. Available in multiple sizes and protection classes, they’re ideal for use in machine building, renewable energy, railways, transformers and more.

The line’s ventilation plugs feature hydrophobic and oleophobic membranes to regulate pressure inside sealed enclosures and reliably prevent condensation — enhancing durability and minimizing maintenance.

Whether one is designing for high-pressure outdoor applications or sensitive instrumentation systems, Amphenol’s GuardXcel Series delivers cost-effective, high-performance protection that’s built to last.
