Designed for space-constrained smart factories, Lucid Vision Labs Inc. has launched an industrial vision camera family aimed at delivering high-speed imaging over 10 gigabit Ethernet interface with RDMA support.
Dubbed Triton10, the industrial cameras include Sony Semiconductor’s latest CMOS sensors ranging from 5.0 megapixels to 24.5 megapixels.
The cameras are built using Lucid Vision Labs’ Factory Tough platform that protects against dust and water while supporting zero-copy, high-throughput streaming of up to 1.2 GB/s directly to main memory. Lucid Vision Labs said this reduces the load on the CPU and bypasses the operating system to reduce latency.
The Triton10 cameras also conform to the GigE vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards.
Lucid Vision Labs has developed a software development kit that provides access to standards and software tools and is compatible with Windows, Linux 64-bit and Linux ARM operating systems. It also supports C, C++, C# and Python programming languages
