Lending a hand with Tesollo's DG-5F

03 March 2025

A South Korea-based manufacturer of robotic grippers has developed a new humanoid robotic hand.

Tesollo’s Delto Gripper-5 Finger (DG-5F) is a robotic hand featuring 20 degrees of freedom (DoF) and five fingers that independently operate with four joints to mimic the human hand.

According to its developers, the DG-5F is 20 cm in length, weighs 1.4 kg and delivers a reported gripping force of up to 7 ㎏. The robotic hand is intended for fully automating industrial processes.

A Tesollo representative explained: “The DG-5F is designed with a Direct Drive Type mechanism, simplifying robotic kinematics while minimizing backlash, ensuring high precision. Even users with basic robotics knowledge can easily operate this system.”

Setting the DG-5F apart from similar technologies is its built-in gripping algorithm, which enables the robotic hand to seamlessly handle objects of different shapes and materials.
