Hyundai Mobis, the urban mobility arm of Hyundai Motors, will unveil its holographic windshield display at the upcoming CES 2025 tradeshow.

The windshield was co-developed with German optics company Zeiss and will be included in the Kia EV9 electric vehicle. The windshield contains a specialized optical film that allows information to be displayed while offering improved overall driver safety.

The display projects driving information like:

  • Navigation
  • Infotainment
  • Safety alerts

This information is projected across the entire width of the front windshield using augmented reality in a panoramic view for both the driver and the passenger.

The prototype windshield is set to be in mass production as early as 2027.

Interior lighting

Additionally, Hyundai Mobis will showcase its human-centric interior lighting technology that can adapt to a user’s mood and environment. The system has 32 situational modes like:

  • Reducing driver stress
  • Alleviating motion sickness
  • Preventing dismounting hazards
  • Providing UV-C sterilization

CES 2025 takes January 7-10, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
