Global distributor DigiKey is heading to Maker Faire Rome 2023 with new products for makers, live demos and new education kits like its Kitronik Kit.
Maker Faire brings together makers and innovators as well as professionals and electronics manufacturers and share the projects with the public.
At its booth, Digikey will have partners like Kitronik and Micro:Bit and will present education focused products and the new Micro:Bit V2 board. OddJay will also be participating in demonstrations with DigiKey at Maker Faire Rome.
The show will include:
- Raspberry Pi 5 demos
- XRP robot demonstrations
- Kitronik Kit, an educational tool to teach about electronics
The XRP robotic platform includes a Raspberry Pi Pico W plus an accelerometer, gyroscope, sensors, motor drives, two servo headers, a momentary switch and more. It allows makers to build autonomous robots without any tools so no soldering. It also runs on two programming languages: Blockly and Python.
The Kitronik Kit allows teachers to provide educational experiences for coding skills by creating and modding games or developing robotic arms. The goal is to increase the interest in students for science, technology, electronics and math (STEM) learning. The kits are easy to build and available for multiple controller platforms and single board computers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Maker Faire Rome takes place in Rome, Italy, from October 20-22.
