Balko Tech has unveiled what it claims is the world’s first modular drone lidar that allows for sensors, inertial platforms and cameras to be interchanged depending on the application.
Called Connectiv, the modular lidar drone system could be used for surveying firms and companies looking to integrate lidar for data capture services via drones. This could include construction, oil rig safety systems, indoor mapping, mine exploration and more.
Using the Connectiv system can allow companies to complete a multitude of different projects by swapping the different modules. This saves in having to purchase a new system by redesigning existing drones with new parts.
Balko Tech is proud to announce the release of the NEXT generation of the world's first modular drone lidar, Connectiv and its e-Connect application.
The system features improved hardware, firmware and software as well as e-Connect a connected application for drone information like flight status or the status of data collection. Data can be viewed via a tablet on the ground while the drone performs in-flight data capture.
