Introduction to Class 4 fault-managed power systems: What you need to know

15 June 2023

An improved format of electricity called “fault-managed power” is changing how technology systems are powered. The 2023 version of the National Electrical Code (NEC) includes New Article 726, which brings Class 4 power (also called fault-managed power systems, or FMPS) into the NEC for the first time.

This webinar provides a high-level overview of how Class 4 circuits are different from Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 circuits, as well as the benefits of FMPS systems and how the NEC defines and classifies FMPSSource: BeldenSource: Belden circuits.

From there, the webinar will discuss how FMPS will be deployed and classified not only within the U.S., but also throughout the rest of the world and through international IEC 60364 standards.

Join Belden and VoltServer as they team up to talk about the future of power with FMPS. Register for this webinar here.

After joining this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe what FMPS is and how it works
  • Explain how Class 4 is different from Class 1, 2 and 3 systems according to the NEC
  • Understand the benefits of FMPS
  • Understand how FMPS will be deployed through global standards

The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM EDT.
