TechInsights Teardown: LG ADAS front camera
Late last year, LG unveiled its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) front camera for use in Mercedes-Benz C-class vehicles.
The front camera acts as the eye of the vehicles to support safety features inside the car. These functions include automatic emergency braking, land departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and adaptive cruise control.
ADAS has become a huge part of the future of vehicles with numerous automotive OEMs making a major push into the technology to not just make vehicles safer, but also to differentiate between other vehicle models.
The LG ADAS front camera features SDRAM and serial NOR flash memory from Micron Technology as well as image sensors from Onsemi.
The following is a partial deep dive into the LG ADAS front camera from TechInsights.
