Soracom’s smart IoT devices now stocked at Mouser

Mouser Electronics has signed an agreement with Soracom where the global distributor will offer a range of internet of things (IoT) connectivity solutions.

The range includes IoT starter kits, USB cellular modems and eSIMs.

The IoT starter kit comes with everything needed to connect devices via cellular connectivity quickly and is powered by a Raspberry Pi Zero WH. It also features an ultrasonic range finder for engineers to build devices with cloud connectivity and real-time sensor data visualization. Other features of the starter kit include:

  • 16 Gbyte Class 10 SD card
  • Micro-SD card reader
  • Soracom Air IoT SIM card
  • Perma-proto breadboard with color-coded wires
  • LEDs
  • 15 Ω resistor

The eSIMs are designed for cellular cloud connectivity at scale, supporting mass production of commercial and industrial solutions. These devices can be used in harsh environments, feature a data retention of up to 15 years and an operating temperature range of -40° C to 105° C.

The Onyx LTE USB cellular modem has a Quectel EG25-G LTE Cat. 4 module that delivers 4G/LTE, 3G and 2G cellular connectivity for fixed and mobile applications. The device is optimized for IoT and M2M applications.
