Newark, a division of Avnet, has signed a new distribution agreement with Piera Systems to sell its intelligent particle sensor (IPS) family.
IPS devices offer precision at a low cost and can be integrated easily for deployment to offices, hospitals, schools and more for monitoring air quality.
Air quality monitoring for indoor areas has grown substantially through the COVID-19 pandemic and to address climate change. Poor air quality can impact human health and lead to serious diseases. Even the smallest particles at less than 1 micron can be dangerous if absorbed into the bloodstream. IPS devices can detect these sub-micron particles accurately.
The optoelectronic particulate sensors use photon counting readout technology with compact design and low power consumption. Piera Systems’ IPS come in three models with a different number of output bins as well as sensitivity control for accuracy and versatility.
