Internet of things (IoT) vendor Telit has acquired the assets of Mobilogix, a California startup developing custom IoT solutions.
Telit said the acquisition will expand its IoT portfolio to adopters that want to reduce complexity and time to market of designs. It will add comprehensive device engineering and resources that focus on electronic manufacturing services, original device manufacturing and attainment of regulatory approvals and carrier certifications.
Once the acquisition has been approved and regulatory obligations are met, Mobilogix will relocate personnel and offices to Telit’s Irvine, California, headquarters. After Telit signed an agreement to acquire Thales’ cellular IoT products in July of this year, it established the California-based Telit Cinterion, which is designed to expand its industrial IoT segments and end markets including payment systems, energy, telehealth and security.
Mobilogix creates custom IoT solutions for verticals such as telematics, micro-mobility, healthcare, construction and agriculture as well as modules and connectivity across the IoT value chain.
For Telit, this will allow the company to provide end-to-end custom solutions in the design and industrialization supply chain.
