Newark, a division of Avnet, has signed a distribution agreement with Micron Technology to expand its line of semiconductors it stocks including storage and memory devices.
Micron devices are used for various markets including consumer, mobile communications, automotive, industrial design and data centers, personal computing, networking and server applications.
The devices expanded to Newark’s portfolio include its SLC NAND devices, embedded code storage flash that reduces the overall bill-of-materials for applications such as interactive toys, books, games, web-enabled printers, computer peripherals and backward-compatible WiMAX boxes. The devices come in densities ranging from 1 Gb to 256 Gb.
Also included is the automotive-grade low-power double data rate 4 (LPDDR4) for next-generation industrial, automotive and consumer applications. These low-power double data rate 4 synchronous dynamic random-access memory (DDR4 SDRAM) devices with high-speed complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) can be internally configured to work in extreme conditions.
Micron’s serial NOR flash memory provides a combination of features including high-density fast data throughputs, secure data storage, architectural flexibility and long-term product support. Finally, the 2100AI PCIe NVMe NAND flash solid state drives (SSDs) are storage solutions using a single-chip controller with a PCIe Gen3 interface connecting to four PCIe lanes to Micron’s 3D TLC NAND flash.
