AT&T plans to bring an iconic smartphone to market this fall with its foldable design 5G Motorola razr.
The Motorola razr is small enough to fit inside a pocket but will be able to take advantage of the high download speeds, high bandwidth and low latency that the next-generation wireless technology affords. The smartphone’s Quick View display allows users to reply to messages or skip songs without having to open the phone and users can also take photos with the 48 megapixel lens for selfies or other photography.
The razr smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor featuring the Adreon 620 GPU, 8 GB of memory, 256 GB of internal storage, rear fingerprint reader and a host of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensors — accelerometer, magnetometer, gyro, barometer, ultrasonic, proximity, ambient light and SAR.
The 2800 mAh battery is designed to work all day and the main foldable touchscreen organic light emitting diode (OLED) display is 6.2 in with an external OLED display to enable Quick View is measured at 2.7 in. Cameras include the 48 MP quad pixel for 12 MP output, a rear camera that allows for slow motion video, timelapse video, hyperlapse video, and electronic video stabilization and a front 20 MP quad pixel camera.
The 5G technology is near radio sub-6 GHz but also is piggybacked by 4G LTE so if a user moves into an area where 5G coverage is not available, 4G technology takes over to continue service.
