Arrow Electronics, Panasonic and ST Microelectronics have introduced a low-power wireless multi-sensor edge-intelligence module designed for internet of things (IoT) industries such as the smart factory, smart home and smart life applications.

The module includes Panasonic’s IoT modules based on the ST Blue-Tile multi-sensor development kit and will be distributed through Arrow.

Called the IoT Solution Module, the device includes ST’s BlueNRG Bluetooth low energy (BLE) 5.0 system-on-chip (SoC) paired with numerous inertial, environmental and audio sensors.

The module combines an accelerometer and gyroscope with time-of-flight, pressure and humidity sensors in a low-power design with Bluetooth communications that the companies say will reduce time-to-market and reduce design expense to certify modules.
