Nokia is working with LG Uplus to automate its internet protocol transport and core networks in order to launch 5G services faster.
The software-defined networking (SDN) automation deployment is designed for 5G cloud architectures and delivers an evolving portfolio of 5G services to consumers and enterprise quickly and at massive scale, the companies said.
The roll out will allow LG Uplus to meet the stringent 5G requirements in terms of bandwidth, latency and resiliency for service quality, reliability and security as well as improve operational efficiency and agility.
Nokia said the combination of its IP routers with its SDN slicing controller is the foundation for building a robust 5G transport network that in turn is key to enabling 5G service delivery.
