Samsung completes acquisition of end-to-end network services provider

14 January 2020

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has completed the acquisition of TeleWorld Solutions (TWS), a network services provider based in Virginia.

The deal will allow Samsung to improve mobile carriers’ needs for improving 4G and 5G networks as well as enhance service capabilities to vendors. Overall, the acquisition will address the need for end-to-end support in delivering network solutions, Samsung said.

TWS will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics America and will continue to support existing customers as well as support new clients with Samsung.

Samsung is collaborating with U.S. network operators to fulfill 5G’s network expansion as demand is increasing for network infrastructure, design, deployment and optimization services. As Samsung continues to make deals with network operators and enterprises for next-generation cellular networks, the acquisition of TWS will help meet these demands, the company said.
