Molex will manufacture Element14 crowd-sourced sensor boards

30 May 2019

Element14, a division of Avnet, is giving its community of engineers and makers the opportunity to design their ideal sensor boards. The Dream Sensor Board program permits community members to crowd-source the optimal combination of sensor modules. Molex will then review the crowd-sourced designs and manufacture boards to the community's specifications.

The sensor modules can measure or detect variables such as pressure, temperature, humidity, motion, color and physical position. The community will be able to share their preferred connectivity, interface method and what applications of the board are most useful.

The sensor board design allows members to mix and match components and share designs with other community members, as well as vote on the best design.

Visit Element14’s sensor board site for more information.
