Based on OmniVision’s 1.12-micron PureCel Plus stacked die technology, the OV16E10 sensor works for both single- and multi-camera applications.
The sensor includes a 2x1 Microlens phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) function, giving smartphones the ability to accurately autofocus even in low-light conditions, OmniVision said.
Other features of the OV16E10 include a built-in frame rate synchronization for image fusion in dual- and triple-cameras and a gyro interface that reads and synchronizes the motion data from an external gyroscope for image stabilization of video and still images.
The OV16E10 is sampling now.
