Aceinna, a Massachusetts-based company, announced the introduction of a new MEMS-based tilt sensor module that combines accelerometers, gyroscopes and a temperature sensor. The MTLT305D module uses advanced extended Kalman filtering and algorithms to achieve 0.5-degree tilt and less than 10 milli-g acceleration in a variety of dynamic conditions.
Using advanced calibration and correlation algorithms, the MTLT30D provide accurate 3D acceleration, 3D rate, and pitch and roll measurements in moving systems. In addition, it comes with CAN J1939 and RS-232 connectivity.

Housed in a miniature package (65 mm x 66 mm x 27 mm) including integrated connectors and designed to operate over a wide temperature range of -40 C to +85 C, it is suitable for rugged construction, agricultural applications and off-road vehicles.

The MTLT305D includes Aceinna NAV-VIEW software. The graphical user interface package is used to display, record, playback and analyze all the MTLT305D parameters over the RS232 port. NAV-VIEW can also be used to set a wide range of user-configurable fields in the MTLT305D to optimize the system performance for various dynamic applications.
