TE Connectivity has unveiled the QRapid fiber panel, a new version of the company’s Rapid Fiber panel that incorporates Quareo physical layer

The QRapid fiber panel is an 1RU 48-port or 3RU 144-port rack-mountable fiber distribution panel with TE's RapidReel fiber cable spool electronics enabling it to function as part of TE's Quareo physical layer management system. The functionality of the fiber panel provides a user with the ability to know in real time whether each front port of the panel is connected, and the equipment and port that it is connected to.
The QRapid fiber panel delivers several key benefits including physical layer management, which expands the ability to gain an accurate, real-time view of the network by central offices and data center network architects. It also reduces the price tag of upfront deployment costs by simplifying inspections, reducing labor hours and speeding up and streamlining deployment. The panel's front-facing interface ensures trouble-free maintenance and fast service turn-ups.
