Arrow Electronics Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire immixGroup Inc., a distributor that supports more than 800 resellers, solution providers, service providers and other public sector channel partners.
ImmixGroup, headquartered in McLean, Va., offers IT solutions from more than 250 technology suppliers in addition to a platform of services that helps IT companies do business with the government.
Michael Long, chairman, president and CEO of Arrow, said through a statement that the acquisition of immixGroup would expand Arrow's presence in the public sector IT market.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close at the beginning of the second quarter, Arrow said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Arrow recently announced the acquisition of United Technical Publishing, a division of Hearst Business Media and a digital provider of product information to the global electronics components industry. United Technical Publishing's portfolio includes directories, e-newsletters, 16 engineering-driven websites, inventory access tools and databases that are important resources for engineers involved in product design.
