TTI Adds FCT Connectors; Newark to Carry RECOM Products

Specialist distributor TTI has added FCT Electronics Group as a new connector supplier.

FCT specializes in designing and manufacturing custom mixed-layout connectors and cable assemblies. The company was acquired in 2013 by Molex Incorporated, aleading supplier of connectors and interconnect components.

Fred Bell, vice president at Molex, said the connector manufacturer has had a long-term partnership with TTI for almost two decades. By carrying the FCT’s line of connectors “TTI will bring exceptional value and unparalleled service” to more of Molex’s customers globally," he said.

John Sandy, supplier marketing manager, said TTI focuses on new products and new business opportunities and is “excited with the addition” of FCT products.

He said FCT’s specialized range of D-sub connectors, hoods, contacts and tooling will help TTI better serve the large market that is out there for FCT products.

TTI, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is an authorized, distributor of interconnect, passive and electromechanical (IP&E) components.

In other distribution news, Newark element14, part the Premier Farnell Group, has added RECOM Power as one it global power supply partners. The company makes power converters and switching regulators.

Newark element14 will now carry hundreds of RECOM Power products, including a large selection of DC/DC and AC/DC converters, switching regulators and LED drivers.

Premier Farnell has been an authorized distribution of RECOM products in Asia and now is authorized to carry RECOM products in the America and Europe.

“We are excited about the opportunity to extend our Asian franchise with Premier Farnell to EMEA and to the Americas via Newark element14,” said Karsten Bier, CEO at RECOM. “Premier Farnell’s global footprint now matches ours.”
