RealMan Robotics launches next-generation high-power-density joint modules for high-performance robotics

19 January 2026

RealMan Robotics has unveiled three next-generation joint modules: the ultra-compact WHJ03, the high-torque hollow-core WHJ120 and the WHJ48V Wide-Voltage series. This launch marks a key milestone in the company’s strategic expansion in core robotic components, delivering a unified power solution for robots ranging from lightweight desktop arms to heavy-duty industrial systems.

The High-Power-Density (HPD) servo joints deliver high torque density, fast dynamic response, high precision, reliability and cost efficiency. These three new modules address diverse industry needs through compact, integrated and modular designs, enabling high-performance robotics across consumer, commercial and industrial applications.

WHJ03: Ultra-compact, precision control

The WHJ03 is a 3 Nm joint module measuring just 33 mm x 48 mm, designed for desktop robots and consumer humanoids where space is at a premium. It delivers 35% to 55% higher torque within the same volume and reduces size by more than 50% compared with mainstream alternatives. Featuring minimal backlash and low jitter, the WHJ03 ensures smooth and precise motion for delicate tasks such as liquid handling and fragile object manipulation, while also supporting natural humanoid head and neck movements.

WHJ120: High torque, hollow-core design

The WHJ120 delivers a rated torque of 120 Nm with a 16 mm hollow core, making it ideal for collaborative robots and humanoids that require high torque and flexible cable routing. Its hollow-core structure reduces mechanical complexity while supporting heavy-duty operations. Typical applications include shoulder, elbow and waist joints in cobots, as well as shoulder, hip and knee joints in humanoids, enabling compact yet powerful designs capable of handling larger payloads.

WHJ48V Wide-Voltage series: High power and efficiency

Supporting input voltages of up to 60 V, the WHJ48V series delivers higher peak speeds, greater power density and improved energy efficiency, while reducing current, heat generation and cable losses. Fully compatible with 24 V systems, the series is well suited for high-end humanoids, mobile robots (including quadrupeds and wheeled platforms), cobots and exoskeletons, meeting stringent requirements for dynamic response, endurance and lightweight design.

A unified power base for robotics

With the launch of these three next-generation modules, RealMan Robotics further expands its product portfolio and strengthens its position as a key enabler in the global robotics ecosystem. By offering modular, standardized and high-performance joint solutions, the company provides a unified drivetrain foundation that powers the next generation of intelligent, embodied robots with efficiency, precision and reliability.
