CODESYS innovations at the SPS trade fair 2025

21 November 2025

New features for immediate user benefit will be the focus of CODESYS's SMart Production Solutions (SPS) trade fair presentation in Nuremburg, Germany, November 25 to November 27.

The virtual safety controller, which is completely hardware-independent, is already in productive use in automotive manufacturing. The IEC 61508 SIL3-certified solution runs on any industrial device, edge device or even server platform, and from 2026 onwards, even on ARM-based devices. CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL is the first solution worldwide to offer FSoE support (EtherCAT Safety), with certification scheduled for January 2026.

CODESYS is showcasing CODESYS go! as a web-based development interface ahead of its planned release in April 2026. As a supplement to the CODESYS Development System, it already offers enormous added value in this early phase for use cases such as library development. An integrated fieldbus configurator in CODESYS go! will also be on display for the first time at the trade fair.

In line with the general theme of the trade fair, CODESYS will be showcasing a whole range of artificial intelligence (AI)-based approaches to support CODESYS users: In addition to a chatbot for online help, AI-supported engineering is now also available for the first time, including via MCP interface with cloud systems and even with local LLMs. Visitors to the trade fair will get an impression of how their engineering work will be accelerated and simplified in the future.

In addition to its own innovations, CODESYS customers and partners will also be represented at the joint booth.
