The automotive market has become a beacon for new technologies as infotainment becomes a must-have for many consumers.
To do these types of features inside vehicles, a head unit is needed in some cases for the operation of the technologies. In the case of the Bosch 2022 Peugeot head unit this allows for AM/FM stereo, DAB radio, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity.
The head unit also supports four 50 W speakers and a rear-view camera. While it does not have a display, it connects to external displays and a microphone for hands-free calls.
The following is a partial deep dive into the automotive head unit.
