The Tech Hubs Program has revealed another funding round of about $504 million in grants to 12 tech hubs.
The Biden Administration program is designed to invest and grow economies across the country to help create jobs in tech, strengthen U.S. economic competitiveness and beef up electronics national security as well as accelerate growth in emerging technologies.
Last year, through the CHIPS and Science Act, 31 tech hubs were approved for grants from 400 applications that include industry, academia, state and local governments, economic development organizations and labor and workforce partners.
The 12 hubs selected from this round of funding include:
- $41 million to Elevate Quantum Tech Hub in Colorado and New Mexico
- $41 million to Headwaters Hub in Montana
- $51 million to Heartland BioWorks in Indiana
- $51 million to iFAB Tech Hub in Illinois
- $21 million to Nevada Tech Hub in Nevada
- $40 million to NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub in New York
- $44 million to ReGen Valley Tech Hub in New Hampshire
- $45 million to SC Nexus for Advanced Resilient Energy in South Carolina and Georgia
- $19 million to South Florida ClimateReady Tech Hub in Florida
- $51 million to Sustainable Polymers Tech Hub in Ohio
- $51 million to Tulsa Hub for Equitable & Trustworthy Autonomy in Oklahoma
- $49 million to Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub in Wisconsin
