Taiwanese display startup AUO will make its debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, next week, exhibiting a micro-LED in-vehicle human-machine interface (HMI) display for automotive mobility.

AUO’s smart cockpit brings new applications and design interiors to vehicles to meet infotainment needs for both passengers and drivers. The Smart Cockpit 2024 enables automakers to install a series of display HMI solutions like:

  • Pillar-to-pillar curved amLED display across the instrument panel
  • Embedded cameras and sensors
  • Built-in active privacy mode
  • Connects drivers/passengers to infotainment information

Additionally, the cockpit incorporates high-transparency micro-LED displays into the side windows of vehicles, providing touch functionality for entertainment, online video conferencing and safety information.

Called the Interactive Transparent Window, it won a CES Best of Innovation award. The window also has a rollable feature that provides flexible LED displays that can be concealed in the front seat backrest or other space.

CES 2024 takes place Jan. 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
