At CES 2024, South Korean chipmaker DEEPX will announce that 40 customers are planning to use its artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator and that the chip has been deployed for hands-on trials.
DEEPX said the AI chip, called DX-M1, has been installed for pre-qualification testing for mass production and in the development of products of more than 40 global companies. These vendors range in variety from robotics, smart mobility, AI video security, AI servers and more.
The company has started an early engagement customer program to provide vendors with early access to its small camera module, one-chip DX-V1 chip, m.2 module with a DX-M1 and its developer environment.
Particularly in the robotics market, AI chips need to be embedded in small form factors to enable highly advanced technologies like autonomous driving and cognition.
The DX-M1 AI chip uses a 5 nm process that supports AI processing at more than 30 frames per second for more than 16 channels of multichannel video data on a single chip and can process multiple AI algorithms simultaneously, like object recognition and image classification.
CES 2024 takes place Jan. 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
