Electronic testing instruments vendor Ametek Inc. has acquired Amplifier Research Corp., in a move that will expand its radio frequency and microwave amplifiers and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing equipment.
The details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Souderton, Pennsylvania, Amplifier Research’s product portfolio is used in the defense, medical, communication and automotive markets. Products in the portfolio include:
- RF and microwave instrumentation amplifiers
- Hybrid power amplifier modules
- Antennas
- Control software for EMC
Ametek said the acquisition will enhance its ability to provide a broader suite of devices for markets like electric vehicle testing and defense communications.
