With the explosive popularity of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a household word and many Americans are now exploring its use for anything from experimentation to daily tasks.
Source: YACSS YACSS, an AI-driven website builder, examined Google Keywords data to find the top U.S. states interested in AI over the past 12 months. These terms were combined with each state’s average monthly volume for AI-related terms to find the top states interested in the technology.
“AI has recently taken the world by storm, especially with the roaring popularity of ChatGPT, and we are seeing many Americans embracing its use in their daily tasks,” said a spokesperson for YACSS.
Here are the top five states in America that are most interested in AI technology.
- Massachusetts. As the most AI obsessed state, it has an average monthly search of 1,466 for AI-related terms per 100,000 people. Most of these searches include ChatGPT, Craiyon and Open AI Playground.
- Washington. At 1,349 AI-related searches on average per 100,000 people, Washington was most interested in the terms AI writer, LaMDA and Midjourney. It also ranked third highest in searching for ChatGPT.
- New York. This state comes in third with 1,198 average monthly searchers per 100,000 people with the highest searches for Ink and Writesonic. It was the fourth highest monthly searched state for Chat GPT.
- California. This state had an average monthly search of 1,135 per 100,000 people for AI-related keywords. This includes CopyAi, Perplexity and Midjourney.
- New Jersey. The state had 1,099 searches per 100,000 people for AI keywords with ChatSonic, Rytr.me and was the fifth highest for searching ChatGPt.
