As a greater percentage of autos on the roadway become fueled by electricity, the electronics in those vehicles become more numerous, powerful and essential to the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Indeed, an EV might have more in common with a smartphone than an internal combustion vehicle from 30 years ago.

Undoubtedly, power density and management are focal areas of development for EVs, as vehicle range remains the Achilles heel of true EV ubiquity. In addition, a suite of sensors and technologies are providing drivers with unprecedented safety and operation information.
