Avnet Inc. has launched a partner program for businesses to complete internet of things (IoT) solutions quickly and cheaply.
The IoTConnect platform will connect devices that address both the software and hardware needs of IoT solutions. In the spring of this year, Avnet will expand the platform to include a marketplace that will allow any developer to write IoT applications to Avnet’s platform and offer the end devices for sale to a wide audience.
IoT devices, assets and systems can be connected securely to the IoTConnect platform by using pre-built smart applications equipped with a suite of artificial intelligence services for specific industries.
The Avnet Partner Program allows system integrators and OEMs to build new IoT solutions and business models based on the IoTConnect platform. Additionally, it will enhance these solutions with smart applications and access to Avnet’s ecosystem of experts to accelerate and scale their IoT solution development.
At CES 2020, Avnet will show an example of the IoTConnect partner program with Capstone that was able to build, deploy and manage its IntelliH2O smart meter as a water-as-a-service solution for utility meter monitoring.
